Overview

Visit all of Cairo’s top attractions on a 3-day tour with a qualified Egyptologist tour guide. Explore the world-famous attractions such as the Giza Pyramids, the Egyptian Museum, Coptic Cairo, plus much more, as well as transporting you between attractions in air-conditioned comfort and lunch included. Itinerary:

Day 1: Giza Pyramids, Memphis and Saqqara

This morning, your private guide will pick you up around 8 am (available to change) for a full day tour of the pyramids at Giza and Egyptian Museum.

Start by visiting the Giza Plateau to explore the world famous pyramids of Cheops, Chephren, Mycrenos and Sphinx; these structures that have stood tall for 4500 years.

Discover the beauty of the Sphinx, one of the largest monolith statues in the history of mankind, enjoy the views and take remarkable pictures. You’ll find your local Egyptology guide a wealth of knowledge and full of enthusiasm about Egyptian history, and their country in general.
Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant (water and drinks not included).

Continue to the Egyptian Museum of antiquities, home to the fantastic Tutankhamun exhibit, see his golden treasure and many of the New Kingdom royal statues, lose yourself in the many rooms and galleries full of thousands of artifacts.

At the end of the day, drive back to your hotel in Cairo or Giza.

Day 2: Cairo Citadel, Khan Al Khalili and Coptic Cairo

Pick up at 8 am, then drive towards the Citadel of Salah El Din, built on famous hill Al Moqattam in Cairo, that was constructed for military purposes, for protecting Cairo from incoming threats. Since then, it became a residence of the king of Egypt for many centuries. On this tour, you will visit the beautiful Mohamed Ali known as Alabaster Mosque. Political event called “Massacre of the Citadel” happened in the Citadel in 1811, where Mohamed Ali, the ruler of Egypt (1805-1849) murdered Mameluke leaders in Qaser El Gawhara palace, and it’s not currently opened for visits.
Cairo’s Khan al-Khalili Bazaar is an essential Egyptian experience – lose yourself in the colors and aromas of this fascinating marketplace
Have lunch at a local restaurant (water and drinks not included) before exploring some of the most famous churches in Cairo. Travel to the Hanging Church and the Church of St. George the Martyr. Both these churches were built into the walls of the Babylon Fortress and their remains could be Cairo’s oldest structures. Visit the Church of St Sergius next before driving back to your hotel.

Day 3: Alexandria Day Trip from Cairo

Start with early morning pick-up at 6:30 to 7 am for a full day tour to Alexandria from Cairo, arrive at 9:30 am. Tour Alexandria’s most significant and fascinating spots with your private tour guide.
Descend into the Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa, with the beautiful artworks, visit the Roman Theater, take in views from the 15-century fortifications at the Citadel of Qaitbay. Explore the New Alexandria library at your own pace. Drive Back in comfort to your hotel in Cairo for overnight.
Lunch will be served a a seafood restaurant between visits (drinks not included)
