Overview
Itinerary:
This morning, our driver will pick you up at the lobby of your hotel in Cairo or Giza at 4 am (available to change subject to your flight schedule), to be transferred to Cairo airport to catch the early morning flight to Luxor. You will need to use the flight tickets sent to you via WhatsApp to check in and get your boarding cards/passes.
Upon your arrival at Luxor airport , meet your guide who will be waiting for you outside the arrival hall with sign of your name to start you day tour by driving to the west bank to visit the magnificent Valley of the Kings, original burial site of the boy King Tutankhamun; where the royal tombs from the New Kingdom were discovered carved deep into the desert rock, richly decorated and filled with treasures for the afterlife of the Pharaohs. Here you will also have the option to explore the tomb of King Tutankhamun.
Proceed to the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut; this is a mortuary temple with a unique design as it is the only temple in Egypt built in terrace formation into the cliff face. Hatshepsut was a famous female pharaoh who reigned for about 20 years as one of Egypt’s most successful rulers and wore a false beard and all the trappings of male pharaohs in order to claim the throne for herself. Listen to her exciting story and know how she succeeded to rule as a sole female pharaoh
Next, make your way to the Mortuary Temple of Amenhotep III and end you tour in the west bank by a photo stop at the Colossi of Memnon which are two 17-meters gigantic sitting statues representing Amenophis III facing the Nile.
Stop for lunch at a good quality restaurant (drinks are not included).
Continue to Karnak temple the largest temple ever built, which is a series of temples, built in different reigns through out 2000 years and covering an area of about 63 acres. Hear the stories and legends of the ancient Egyptian goddess. Take memorial photos among its huge pillars and halls.
Finally head to Luxor temple, built by king Amenhotep III from the 18th. dynasty and completed by the great king Ramesses II during the 19th dynasty, where ancient Egyptian, Christian and Islamic features are exhibited. Admire its obelisk and well preserved statues.
At the end, you will be transferred to Luxor airport to catch your evening flight to Cairo. You will need to use the provide flight tickets at Luxor airport to check in and get your boarding cards/passes.
Once you arrive at Cairo airport, you will be met by our driver to be transferred to your hotel in Cairo or Giza.
