Itinerary:
Our tour guide will pick you up from your hotel in Cairo or Giza at 7:00 am. We will drive almost 210 kilometers approx. 3 hours driving to Alexandria City, the second largest city in Egypt known as The Pearl of the Mediterranean.
Arrive to Alexandria to start your day tour by visiting the Catacombs which are the largest Roman Cemetery consisting of three levels cut in the rock.
Then, to the Roman Amphitheater which is considered to be the best-preserved Roman site in Egypt, and one of Alexandria’s most popular monuments.
Tour Alexandria’s must-see modern landmark — the spectacular city library and the biggest library in the world – now with 8 million books. Visit it’s open court where you can see the bust of Alexander the Great and the statue of Ptolemy the second and take photos.
Proceed to see the Qaitbay Citadel (PHOTO STOP FROM OUTSIDE)which was built on the site of pharaohs (light house).
The Abu al-Abbas al-Morsi Mosque is an Egyptian mosque in the city of Alexandria. It is dedicated to the 13th century Murcian Andalusi Sufi saint Abu Al Abbas al-Morsi, whose tomb it contains. It is located in the Anfoushi neighborhood of Alexandria, near the Citadel of Qaitbay.
Enjoy fresh seafood lunch by the Mediterranean between visits. Finally, transfer back to your hotel in Cairo.
